Dear Corona, Forgive Me.

(Hot Mess Millionaire Musings in Poetry) If the Coronavirus was a woman I loved, what would I say to her?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear Corona,
Please forgive me.
It’s not you.
It’s me.
You are the consequence for all or my self-hate projected in the atmosphere through hate crimes, black bodies outlined in white chalk, and unchecked Weinstein’s worldwide.
I feel your consequence in the palpable fear revealing itself as government-mandated social distance. Keeping me from touching your skin so I don’t remember we are the one and the same.
I hear your consequence in the sadness of your tears turned to flames that burned down the very trees that keep me alive in Australia.
Forgive me for turning you into the enemy Corona.
You are the compilation of every judgment, blame, and righteous “right” I felt I was entitled to have. I have stocked piled my anger, bitterness, and petty point of view for decades.
That stockpile became a sickness.
A dis-ease.
A virus that travels in the unseen.
You’re like a ghost, Corona.
I can’t touch you.
But the very threat of your presence undoes my world.
Ghosts are Spirits, unrested.
Ghost play tricks on your mind to get your attention.
Ghosts make you feel their presence but never them.
I find it ironic that you show up in my throat, scratching my voice away for three or four days before you pollute my lungs with thick mucus making it hard to take a deep breath.
Is that what I did to you Corona—take your voice? Did I make it almost impossible for you to breathe because of all of the hate I kept using my voice for?
As I lie in bed thinking about you, thinking about us, it’s clear to me that you are the sum total of all of my unforgiveness.
My unfulfilled expectations.
My resentments and regrets.
You are the energetic manifestation of all of my failings.
I made you Corona.
But you are stronger than me.
You quietly, gently, made me sit down.
Shut up.
And listen.
In the quiet of my quarantine, I’m hearing your cries.
You cry out, silently, for peace.
Partnership.
Care.
Respect.
Dignity.
Compassion.
Empathy.
Grace.
Mercy.
I hear you Corona.
And I am listening.
Please forgive me.
I. love. you.
Yours always,
The Human Race
Coronavirus Stress? Don’t Panic. Prepare.
Hey Sis,
I need you to BREATHE
In through your nose and out through your mouth…
THAT’S it. Simply breathe.
I know with all the anxiety and fear-based shutdowns and cancellations as well as reports of deaths, it’s easy to stress yourself out with “what if’s” or turning a sneeze into a death sentence.
Sis. Please. Just breathe. I need you to calm down. WAAAAAAAAAAYYYY down.
I’m a God girl. I trust God with my life. So I protect my mental by keeping my mind on God as well as staying in the positive. Energy attracts energy.
Faith without works is dead. So I pair mental with getting in reality about EXACTLY how to know the difference between media-induced fear and the actual physical symptoms of the virus. By pairing the spiritual/mental with the practical, I can quiet the anxiousness trying to arise AND I can keep on with my life.
Don’t Panic. Prepare. Prevent. Pray. Repeat. It’s easy to get swept up in the anxiety floating in the air literally, and on the media airwaves.
Don’t.
Read below to take care of yourself and all the lives you touch. This virus is not a plague. And it can be prevent with pretty basic hygiene and consideration for others.
Please read below on identifying the tell tell signs of this virus in contrast to a cold or flu. Also read below for actions you can take for the health of you and the lives you touch.
I love you,
Dr. Venus
Thanks to my sister for sharing this PRICELESS information.
Forwarding…. (this was shared from a Facebook post)
THE SYMPTOMS OF CORONAVIRUS
1. It will first infect the throat, so you’ll have a sore throat lasting 3/4 days.
2. The virus then blends into a nasal fluid that enters the trachea and then the lungs, causing pneumonia. This takes about 5/6 days further.
3. With pneumonia comes high fever and difficulty in breathing.
4. The nasal congestion is not like the normal kind. You feel like you’re drowning. It’s imperative you then seek immediate attention.
SPREAD THE WORD
CORONAVIRUS FOR GUIDANCE:
1. If you have a runny nose and sputum, you have a common cold.
2. Coronavirus pneumonia is a dry cough with no runny nose.
3. This new virus is not heat-resistant and will be killed by a temperature of just 26/27 Celsius. It hates the Sun.
4. If someone sneezes with it, it takes about 10 feet before it drops to the ground and is no longer airborne.
5. If it drops on a metal surface it will live for at least 12 hours – so if you come into contact with any metal surface – wash your hands as soon as you can with a bacterial soap.
6. On fabric, it can survive for 6-12 hours. normal laundry detergent will kill it.
7. Drinking warm water is effective for all viruses. Try not to drink liquids with ice.
8. Wash your hands frequently as the virus can only live on your hands for 5-10 minutes, but – a lot can happen during that time – you can rub your eyes, pick your nose unwittingly and so on.
9. You should also gargle as prevention. A simple solution of salt in warm water will suffice.
10. Can’t emphasize enough – drink plenty of water!
(Wisdom)
I’m thinking about releasing a second edition of The Black Woman Millionaire book. As I get more acclimated to the entertainment industry, I’m learning about timing. Right now, Black Women are in HIGH demand. I have an entire catalog that fits and it’s a topic I love.
When I wrote the book, in 2017, no major publishing house would touch it because they believed that Black Women wouldn’t by a book about becoming a millionaire. Just three years later, Black women are in high demand and in the spotlight in ways, historically, we were never allowed.
The first edition was geared toward early stage entrepreneurs. The new edition would include a new intro as well as a new section dedicated to established entrepreneurs on personal branding and becoming/ positioning one’s self as a category of one.
Hot Mess Millionaire is its own thing and will move forward as planned. Hot Mess Millionaire is for me: Black Woman Millionaire is for the world. I’m just playing with the idea. Black Woman Millionaire could reach the world, now, in a way it couldn’t in the past.  It’s proven and has a loyal core fan-base.
And lastly: I. LOVE. Black Women. I love the book. And I love that there is a genuine demand and market for Black Women in the center instead of the margins.
Just thinking about it as I get Happy and myself prepared to move to LA this Friday.
Any wisdom?
